Jack's Favorite Recording Studios

Kord Recording Studio: Paris, France

Jack has converted a duplex apartment in Montmartre into an inspiring place for solo artists to come to work out their ideas, record and mix. Jack has kept up with the wide variety of recording and mixing options available to artists these days, so there is never a problem with compatibility. Mixing can be done within Pro Tools , DP 5, Logic 8 or Cubase through a Neve summing mixer and various outboard compressors and equalizers.

KMG Studio Gear

For recording on a larger scale, KMG has a variety of studios to choose from in Paris and one in particular in beautiful Provence. The List could go on and on, as Paris is full of fine facilities, but the ones I’ll mention have something special to offer and, at present, are my top choices for budget and sound.

Forum Music Village: Rome, Italy

Known throughout the world because of its long tradition and unmistakable sound, this studio has earned its reputation as the best recording studio in Italy.
Gifted with its high ceilings and 350 square meters surface, the Forum offers a rare possibility to record eighty musicians in the live room. Many renowned artists, famous composers and orchestras love to work in the well-equipped, world-class studio.

Studio De La Reine: Paris, France

A fantastic SSL 4000 series studio in the south of Paris just 15 minutes walk from St Germain. The Studio has a large array of Vintage Valve outboard gear, microphones and guitar amplifiers for mixing and tracking. The Studio is great for Rock/Pop productions; the recording room is tight and fat, not forgetting to mention a wonderful Neve sidecar for tracking and mixing through. The studio is one of the funkiest I have seen in my travels!

Studio Pigalle: Paris, France

Studio Pigalle is like a baby Abbey Rd Studio 2 with an incredibly vintage sounding live room that is perfect for band recording; big and warm a little 70’s in style. Bowie would definitely like it here. Their control room is centered around a Focusrite Control 24 console and all recording is done through the classic Neve Melbourne. There are microphones galore and some even I have never seen!

Studio Pigalle is just 10 minutes walk from beautiful Montmartre, so you get the best of both worlds at no extra cost.

Studio La Fabrique: Paris, France

If you want to take your production a little further, we can go south two hours by TGV from Paris and work at Studio La Fabrique. This is a great little spot with an amazing collection of rooms for tracking including an old mill room. The control room is one of the largest you will ever see; it is built inside a library of Europe’s biggest collection of vinyl records.

Recording and mixing can be done in 5.1 and Stereo with their Harrison Series 10 console and Pro Tools HD.  To top it off the studio has full mastering facilities direct to Pyramix.  Accommodation is also covered with the ability to look after at least 8 people.
